Graduate Student

Bio:

Yanhao hails from Sheffield, a city towards the north of England known for being the home of the world’s oldest football (soccer) club. He received a BA and MSci in natural sciences from the University of Cambridge with a specialization in physics, where, for his master’s project, he investigated the charge transport and thermoelectric properties of organic semiconductors under Henning Sirringhaus. Since joining the group of Robert Schoelkopf in the fall of 2021, he has been exploring ways of improving the coherence of superconducting quantum devices.

As a former national champion of a student esports tournament, Yanhao is an avid gamer, but he can also be found dabbling with musical instruments and competing in intramural volleyball (go Party-cles!).
