Associate Research Scientist
Archan was born and raised in Kolkata, a city located in the eastern part of India. He did his PhD from University of Glasgow. In graduate school, he studied superconducting thin films materials for nanowired single photon detectoe applications. After finished PhD he joined Quantum Nanoelectronics Group, UC Berkeley as a post doctoral reseacher. At berkeley, he explored various mitigation strategies to reduce loss mechanisms which adversely affects the performances of superconducting quantum circuits. Since December, 2021 he has joined RSL and continuing the research effort to improve coherence or lifetime of quanum circuits.
